Having a good and strong CV is probably the most important thing when starting to look for a new job.
Here our 3 top elements to focus on:
Give a short ‘at a glance’ skills and experience summary at the top of the CV, relevant to the role you are applying for. This allows the employer to immediately identify your suitability for the post. Be sure to include all languages and technical environments with how long you have used them or a grading system.
DON’T LEAVE GAPS:
If there are any gaps in your employment history, or seemingly strange moves, explain them. Don’t let your CV throw up more questions than answers.
Be as objective as you can and don’t under or over sell yourself. Get a third party that understands your skills and experience to give you an independent opinion on your CV.
